We'll be playing at the Bike Kitchen here in San Francisco with Sterling Says, Donner Pass, Some Special Moves and ...Who Calls So Loud this Friday the 11th at 7:00. Join us!!

Oakland Show!

We're playing a last minute show in Wednesday, April 2nd at the Stork Club in Oakland with The Better Maker, Instagon and Tape Recordings of the F.B.I. The show starts at nine, so come by if you can.

We'd also like to thank everyone who came to see us last Friday at the Hemlock. We had a great time and hope you did too!

We'll be playing a show Friday, March 28th at the Hemlock with The Otherside and Shiloe. This is a really good bill and we're super excited to be on it. Please come by and join us if you can.

EP Pre-order

We'd like to thank our German friends at The Last Pop Song for their kind words about "Lacuna", our new EP. We'd also like to thank Finest Dearest, Top Critters and all our friends for coming to our EP release show last Saturday at the Hemlock. We sincerely hope that everyone has as much fun as we did! Our next show will be Saturday, February 9th at 7:00 P.M. at the Bike Kitchen with the mighty Spark and Decay, Magician's Wand, The Bug Pedals and Heavy Face. This show will be a benefit for the Bike Kitchen so, if you can, please make sure to stop by.

After a lengthy process and many setbacks (Andy's crippling motorcycle accident, switching studios AND engineers, my moving to Los Angeles, and a few other injuries along the way to name a few) I finally have the reference copy of our new EP (to be entitled Lacuna) in hand. We are still completing the packaging, but in the meantime we wanted to post an mp3 of the 2nd song on our EP called Off with His Head . We hope you like it! In the meantime, we have two shows booked (and we're looking to book more in San Francisco and elsewhere):

January 19th at the Hemlock w/ Finest Dearest & Top Critters
February 9th at the Bike Kitchen (which rules) with Must I Lose A Limb (ex Serene Lakes!)

We're also writing slightly faster than our usual snail's pace, and we're looking to have another release before fall.

Finally, Eric noticed how rad the Broadway Tunnel looked the other day, so we had our friend Tony Jett take a photo. Unfortunately what is not shown is us sprinting through traffic to get underneath that inlet in the center divide.

We'll be playing Friday, December 7th at the Bike Kitchen with our friends Top Critters and The Worship of Silence. Also on the bill are The Fur Coats and Donner Pass. The show starts at seven and should be five bucks or less. This is also our first all ages show in a long time, which means that Eric is stoked because his little brother can come.

Our new EP has been retitled "Lacuna" and will be available just after the first of the year. Until then, you can listen to a track from it here. The EP will feature handmade packaging that we're very excited to be laboring over. You can join us in celebrating our EP's release on Saturday, January 19th at the Hemlock. We'll be sharing the bill with the aforementioned Top Critters and our buddies Finest Dearest.

Southern California

A couple of updates:

September 29th we will be playing at The Prospector in Long Beach with The Soft Hands This will be our second time playing there and we are really looking forward to it.

Next, at the end of October we will be in LA remixing the EP we recorded in May. The remixing will take place with Jef Ehrenberg. Hopefully the EP still tentatively entitled 'Mammut' will be out before the end of 2007.

We're still looking to ramp up our show schedule, which should happen any day now. Take Care.

Quick Update

We'll be going into the studio this weekend to do mixing of the four tracks that will comprise our new EP, tentatively titled "Mamut". The EP will likely see release in September, at which time we'll significantly ramp up our already grueling show schedule to play at least one show a month! Until then, you can come see us at the Hemlock Tavern (1131 Polk St. SF, CA) Friday, August 10th with the Lovely Public and Little Teeth.

12 Galaxies

Last night we played a show with two great bands...Love is Chemicals, and This Isn't It. We're looking forward to playing more shows and would like to thank everyone who showed up.

Maybe you'll see some updates.

So, I was pretty much tired of looking at the old site and I don't have time to create a new one so emptyrooms.us is now a band blog.

We'll see how this works.
